The International Education School Organized International Students to Participate in the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Peach Kernel Carving


On the afternoon of July 25, the International Education College organized 16 international students from Ghana to visit Chenjia Community to participate in the intangible cultural heritage of peach kernel carving and experience the charm of traditional Chinese intangible cultural heritage.

At the beginning of the activity, the craftsman introduced the historical origins, types and production process of peach kernel carving, and led the international students to understand the relevant knowledge of peach kernel carving. Afterwards, the international students were guided to experience the exquisite peach kernel carving crafts up close, and the students were guided to experience the charm of peach kernel carving art and understand the truth of "slow work and fine work". After the activity, international students participated in the "National Unity" signature activity and accepted media interviews. International students said that participating in this activity not only witnessed the process of peach kernels becoming exquisite crafts, but also personally felt the profoundness of Chinese culture and the profound charm of Chinese traditional art, and gained a very valuable activity experience.

Go into the community, experience Chinese life, and promote national unity and progress. The launch of this activity can not only enrich the holiday life of international students, but also help lead international students to immerse themselves in Chinese traditional intangible cultural heritage projects, appreciate the uniqueness of walnut carving art, and promote the formation of international students' awareness of intangible cultural heritage inheritance and protection.
