On April 17th, the international students from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia participated in the kite flying show of the 38th Weifang International Festival.
The international students watched the opening ceremony and the kite flying, experienced kiteflying by themselves. They showed the photos or videos of the festival and the kite culture to their family and friends in their countries. During the activity, the international students were interviewed by Binhai TV, and they were very impressed with the kite works, saying that this activity was of great significance and they were very grateful for this opportunity, which made them have a deeper understanding of Weifang and its kite culture.
Through this activity,students understood the kite culture better, experienced Chinese traditional craft manufacture and the folk custom. At the same time, they also took actions to expand the influence of Weifang as the international capital of kite, and contributed to promote Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges.(Contributed by Jin Yuejiao)
