As the Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, on the afternoon of September 6, the International Education College organized international students from Thailand, Russia, Tajikistan and other countries to visit Chenjia Community to participate in the “Deep Mid-Autumn Feelings, Skillful Mooncake Making” event to celebrate the traditional Chinese festival together.
During the event, professional pastry chefs introduced the mooncake making method to international students in detail. Under the guidance of pastry chefs, students made mooncakes by themselves and experienced the traditional Mid-Autumn food making process. From kneading dough, stuffing to pressing molds, every step is full of fun. After the production was completed, the students showed their mooncakes and accepted interviews from Weifang Rong Media and Kuiwen Rong Media. They said that this was their first time to spend the Mid-Autumn Festival in China. Through the event, they enhanced their understanding of Mid-Autumn food and experienced the fun of making food.
This Mid-Autumn Festival event not only provides a platform for international students to understand the traditional Chinese festival culture, but also enhances exchanges and friendships between students from different countries. During this festival of reunion, international students felt the warmth of home and the profoundness of Chinese culture. (Contributed by Jin Yuejiao).
